Pastor Joslyn Severin

Pastor Joslyn Severin became the Senior Pastor in 2019 when her husband Brian moved to Heaven. She graduated with a degree in missions from Seattle Pacific University in 1980 and also attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK with Pastor Brian.

Pastor Joslyn served alongside Pastor Brian since they went into full time ministry in 1984. They pastored New Life in Yuma County for 6 years. The Severins planted Church Alive in Sterling in 1990,  and then moved to Greeley to plant another Church Alive in 2000. They began pastoring VCF in 2004. When Pastor Brian went to Heaven in 2018, Pastor Joslyn became the Senior Pastor. In September 2025, Pastor Joslyn transitioned to a Co-Senior Pastor with her daughter Pastor Elizabeth, allowing her to have more time to travel to see her grandkids, while not fully retiring. 

Pastor has been on mutliple mission trips and loves leading people to Jesus! She is always willing to pray for you or answer your questions about the Word of God. She loves people and looks forward to meeting you!

Pastor Joslyn was married to her beloved husband for 38 years and has 5 kids and 7 grandchildren. 

One of her favorite verses is Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
