Pastor Elizabeth Virgil

Pastor Elizabeth is our Senior Pastor. She was raised as a Pastor's Kid and has followed Jesus all of her life. At age 10, Elizabeth had an amazing encounter with the Lord and knew she was called to ministry. She graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 2004 and served as the Children's Pastor and Administrator for VCF from 2007-2018. In December 2021, she became VCF's Community Connections Pastor (overseeing all of VCF's Community Events) plus the Bookkeeper. Being a domestic violence survivor, and a single mom herself, she also began the Single Mom's Group at that time. In September 2025, Pastor Elizabeth become a Co-Senior Pastor with Pastor Joslyn, then in August 2026 became VCF's Senior Pastor. Pastor Elizabeth has a passion for teaching the Word of God "line upon line, and precept upon precept" so that it is easy to understand! She also has a big heart for the broken, especially women and children who have been abused. Jesus walked with her through very dark times of depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts while living in an abusive marriage; so she wants everyone to know Jesus never leaves us or forsakes us, and even in the darkness He is there!

Pastor Elizabeth has 3 children: Jeremiah (19), Hannah (18) and Mariah (16). 

Her favorite Bible verse is: "I lift my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from, my help comes from the Lord - the Maker of Heaven and Earth." Psalm 121:1-2
